“We recognize the market demand for broader service offerings,” John T. Young, Jr., senior managing director of Conway MacKenzie, said. “The days of single-offering boutiques have passed, and we are focused on our ability to provide clients with solutions throughout the M&A lifecycle. The addition of Tony is a significant step in the direction of solidifying Conway MacKenzie as a fully equipped advisory partner to the clients we serve.”

Bohnert will lead Conway MacKenzie’s energy-focused due diligence offering, supporting buy-side and sell-side due diligence on both domestic and international deals. He joins the firm from KPMG, where he spent 15 years as a partner and led the US deal advisory energy practice. During his time at the Big Four firm, Bohnert provided M&A consulting services to private equity and corporate clients across more than 300 transactions.

Before his time at KPMG, Bohnert spent six years as CEO of beverage distributor Silver Eagle Distributors. He holds a degree in accounting from the University of Missouri-Columbia.

“Over the past 10 years, I’ve witnessed Conway MacKenzie’s Houston team grow to become one of the most trusted resources to some of the industry’s biggest players,” Bohnert said. “Leveraging the firm’s deep experience with operational and performance improvement as part of our due diligence services will help our clients in maximizing the value of their deals. I look forward to working with the team as they continue to expand their portfolio in Houston.”
