Epic names Kelly Geary leader of national executive risk and cyber practice
Epic, a retail property & casualty insurance brokerage and employee benefits consultancy, has appointed Kelly Geary as leader of its national executive risk and cyber practice.
Geary will head all of Epic’s cyber and executive risk initiatives, as well as focus on legal and regulatory changes related to privacy that might have an impact on the firm. Additionally, she will work within Epic’s Lemme Group to provide risk management counseling and claims advocacy.
"We are fortunate to have someone of Kelly's knowledge and expertise leading our executive and cyber risk practice,” Scott Davis, president of Epic’s national specialty practice, said. “She is the right person to help continue to build the team of professionals focused on protecting our clients in the ever growing cyber and executive risk space."
Prior to joining Epic, Geary worked as the cyber practice leader for the United States at insurance brokerage Integro USA. She also worked for the firm as a managing principal and as coverage and claims counsel leader. Before that, she worked at casualty insurance brokerage W.R. Berkley Corporation as counsel and director of the firm’s corporate legal department. She also served as senior vice president, legal counsel, and head of claims at HCC Specialty, a New York-based insurance agency.
Geary holds a graduate certificate in healthcare management from Stony Brook University, and a law degree from the University of Buffalo, in New York. She is also certified by the International Association of Privacy Professionals as a Certified Information Privacy Professional.
