OC&C Strategy Consultants welcomes new partner Sebastian Blum
OC&C has added veteran management consultant Sebastian Blum as a partner in the firm’s New York office. Blum joins from Strategy&, where he was a partner focusing on clients in the telecom, media, and technology (TMT) industry.
Blum brings 14 years of strategy consulting experience to OC&C, where he will lead the media, entertainment and consumer internet (MECI) sector for North America. He has deep expertise advising TMT leadership teams on the development of growth strategies and capabilities in the context of rapid digitalization.
At OC&C, Blum will support TMT firms with AI strategy and entering the digital media space. He will also help media, retail, leisure, and services clients build their capabilities in digital customer, digital product, and digital go-to-customer. The seasoned consultant will also help investors drive profitable digital growth and efficiencies in their portfolio companies.
Prior to joining OC&C, Blum spent 14 years at Booz & Company (now PwC’s strategy consulting arm Strategy&), where he became a partner in 2016. During his time at the firm he focused on capability-driven strategy for TMT clients, working across the US, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Before being named a partner, Blum was a principal in Booz Digital, the company’s digital practice.
Before joining Booz in 2005, Blum co-founded photonity.com, a photography-focused internet startup. Earlier in his career, he was a fashion photographer in London.
Blum holds an MBA in finance and management from New York University and a BFA in professional photographic illustration from the Rochester Institute of Technology.
He has co-authored a number of articles on the impact of digitization on business, including “Making digital content pay: The billion dollar question for publishers,” and “The rise of multichannel networks: Critical capabilities for the new digital video ecosystem.”
