Infosys partners with GE Appliances

IT consultancy Infosys has announced a partnership with GE Appliances. Per the agreement, Infosys will work with GE Appliances to modernize its information technology infrastructure, running IT as a managed service in an overall bid to increase innovation and optimize workflows within the organization. 

Automation-driven IT services, according to Infoys, will better allow GE Appliances to transform both digitally and in the workplace. Infosys will offer IT support via global command centers, service desks, infrastructure, and applications. The support model is custom-built for GE Appliances, with the aim to accelerate and drive digital transformation.

"GE Appliances is on an ambitious multi-year journey to transform our information technology landscape as well as to re-imagine the way we work,” Viren Shah, chief digital officer of GE Appliances, said. “We believe that this transformation will help us innovate better and faster for our end-users and we are looking forward to working with Infosys as one of our key partners in this journey."

Infosys partners with GE Appliances

GE Appliances is based in Louisville, Kentucky, and is majority owned by appliance brand Haier, which purchased the company from General Electric in 2016. It employs approximately 12,000 people. Infosys, meanwhile, is India’s second-largest IT consultancy after Tata Consultancy Services. The firm works with clients in 46 countries and employs nearly 250,000 people. It reported revenue of $12.4 billion in 2019. The firm is headquartered in Bangalore, India.
