Priority Power Management, an Arlington, Texas-based provider of energy management services and consulting, has acquired Texas Power Consultants (TPC).

Founded in 2005 and based in Tyler, Texas, TPC provides services in power procurement consulting to large commercial/industrial, educational, governmental, and institutional clients in East Texas. The firm’s team of professionals, headed by founders Jack Bailey and Victor Davis, help clients negotiate complex electricity contracts, improve their energy efficiency, and incorporate more renewable energy.

Priority Power’s acquisition of TPC will extend its geographic footprint into the East Texas region. The acquisition will also bolster the company’s capabilities in guiding customers through the energy transition, utilizing technologies in demand response, solar, and batteries to achieve lower carbon footprint and energy spend.

“I am excited to join forces with Priority Power to combine our resources to provide a broadened range of services for our customers. I could not be prouder of our accomplishments to date and am extremely excited for what the future holds,” said TPC’s Jack Bailey.

Founded in 2001 – shortly before Texas deregulated the electricity industry in 2002 – Priority offers solutions in energy procurement, energy infrastructure, and sustainable energy to clients in a wide range of industries – from manufacturing and healthcare to energy and education. The company’s solutions and services help clients solve challenges in managing energy data, supply, demand, and delivery infrastructure.

Priority has completed more than $200 million in energy infrastructure projects – developing, engineering, and constructing private transmission & delivery networks and onsite power generation projects. The company has also managed more than $2.4 billion in energy spend – negotiating optimal terms and mitigating risk for clients.

The Arlington-based firm has more than 60 employees, according to LinkedIn.

“I am confident that we will further enhance the experience for TPC’s customers as they access Priority’s expanded service offerings and deep experience,” said John Bick, managing principal at Priority.
