Korn Ferry Digital welcomes Vijay Konda and Tammy Wang
Korn Ferry, an organizational consulting firm, has made two senior level hires in its digital business. Vijay Konda joins the firm’s Boston office as VP of cloud architecture, while Tammy Wang joins the San Francisco office as VP of data science and machine learning.
Konda brings 30 years of experience in software engineering, architecture, and technology leadership to Korn Ferry, where he will focus on building the architecture for the firm’s Intelligence Cloud solution. The AI-powered platform combines proprietary data and benchmarks, client data, and third-party market data to deliver insights that drive better decisions in people, leadership, and organization.
The platform draws on proprietary data and benchmarks from 70 million assessments, rewards data for 25 million incumbents at more than 25,000 companies across 150 countries, and organizational survey data on 7 million employees and nearly 800 companies.
“Vijay will be responsible for delivering an architecture capable of providing highly scalable, fault tolerant services for the Korn Ferry Intelligence Cloud,” said Satish Gannu, chief technology officer at Korn Ferry Digital.
Konda was previously VP of cloud architecture at Charles River Development, a software firm. Before that, he was chief architect for the markets group at BNY Mellon and a systems specialist at MIT. Konda began his career at HP, where he was a software engineer in the medical systems division.
Also a successful entrepreneur, Konda four years ago founded BlockTrust, a blockchain research firm focusing on Ethereum and other systems.
He holds an MS in computer science from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, and a BS in computer science from the National Institute of Technology, Warangal, India.
"Vijay is an expert in financial services, video conferencing vertical solutions, big data, cloud platforms, and blockchain. We’re honored to have him on the team,” Gannu added.
Wang brings more than 20 years of experience in data science and engineering to Korn Ferry, where she will leverage the firm’s intelligence platform to improve client outcomes.
Wang previously spent five years at executive search firm Riviera Partners, where she was VP of data science and engineering. In the role, she built the firm’s data science team and a machine learning platform to deliver efficient recruiting results.
Before that, she was a senior director at real estate platform Zillow, building a contract-based pricing system and creating the firm’s pricing team. Earlier in her career, Wang was an architect at Microsoft and a senior staff engineer at Walt Disney Internet Group.
She holds a PhD in electrical engineering from Tulane University.
“Tammy has incredible experience working as a leader in the data science and machine learning space. Her breadth of industry and technical knowledge is going to be an asset to our team,” Gannu said.
Korn Ferry also this month added several senior client partners in the US, including Andrea Walsh (Chicago), Anthony Goodman (Boston), and Robert Spano (New Jersey).
The firm has more than 8,000 professionals across offices in 53 countries.
