Synechron aims to recruit 2,000 new experts across 2021

Following an acquisition-driven jump of approximately 2,000 employees last year, global IT consultancy Synechron intends to add that same number in FY2021.

New York-headquartered Synechron – which focuses on financial services clients – has unveiled plans to recruit up to 2,000 professionals over the 2021 financial year, with a specific reference to lateral joiners. Currently, the firm boasts a global headcount in excess of 10,000, having already received a significant boost through a pair of recent acquisitions; US- and UK-based tech consultancy Citihub Digital and Australian payments consultancy Attra.

While the firm’s aggressive hiring strategy will be centered around its strong growth and progression plans for its India operations, Synechron will also be seeking to fill open positions across the US, Europe, Middle East, and APAC regions. “We are witnessing huge growth in India this year specifically in digital transformation initiatives across various clients,” said Hareesha Pattaje, Synechron’s delivery head for India.

Pattaje added that while the company would still be looking at professionals in the range of 4 to 10 years of relevant experience, the firm’s focus will be on hiring experts with strong domain knowledge. “We at Synechron are constantly looking for talented professionals with a passion for research and innovation,” said Pattage. “We are looking at tapping experienced talent with an engineering mindset, who are experts in AI/ML, Data Science, and RPA.”

The recruitment drive follows the consultancy's recent pair of acquisitions. The Attra deal pushed the firm’s global office count to 22 and annual revenues beyond the $650 million mark – and closer to Synechron's long-held goal of hitting $1 billion. “Through our two acquisitions, we have strengthened our capabilities,” said co-founder and CEO Faisal Husain. “We are looking forward to continuing phenomenal growth across all of our geographies.”

Synechron offers an array of benefits to its employees, including exclusive training and development courses, higher education and certification programs, insurance and medical support services, and mental & physical well-being programs, along with a range of diversity, equity & inclusion and corporate social responsibility initiatives.

Synechron has also been named as ‘A Best Place to Work’ employer for the past three consecutive years, dating back to 2018.

“The well-being of our employees and their families has always been our utmost priority,” said Faisal. “Synechron announced full appraisals for all of its employees globally, despite the pandemic. We have also been able to extend a sleeve of benefits to our employees during these challenging times. Our employees have been key to our remarkable and continued growth, and it is only right that we fully recognize and applaud their efforts.”
