Baker Tilly US promotes six to managing partner
Baker Tilly US, a mid-market accounting and consulting firm, has promoted six practice leaders to managing partner effective June 1, 2021.
“These promotions represent Baker Tilly’s growth in scale and extensive capabilities,” stated a release from the Chicago-headquartered firm.
Heather Acker (risk advisory) has since January 2020 led a practice of 300 professionals that advises on governance, risk, compliance, and cybersecurity. Acker has been at Baker Tilly for nearly 25 years, and previously served as leader of the firm’s professional practice group.
Ann Blakely (Baker Tilly Digital) leads the firm’s digital arm, which helps companies modernize their business models with innovative technology solutions. Blakely joined Baker Tilly in 2004 and previously served as practice leader of enterprise solutions and services. She was previously a consultant at CGI.
William Bressette (government contractor solutions) leads a team that supports clients in regulatory compliance, audit, information systems, and other government oversight areas. He joined Baker Tilly in 2009 when the firm acquired Beers & Cutler, where he served as a principal focusing on government contracting and corporate compliance.
Cary Mailandt (business advisory services) leads a team that helps operating companies and private equity with transaction advisory, strategy consulting, valuation, fund administration, and CFO advisory. He joined the firm in 2019 when it bought Montgomery Coscia Greilich, where he was managing partner for consulting. He also previously was a project leader at strategy firm BCG.
Matthew R. Morris (global forensics and litigation services) oversees a practice that delivers financial analysis to companies in critical situations, including Quantum, a recently launched digital claims calculation platform for the insurance market. Morris joined Baker Tilly in 2018 when the firm acquired RGL Forensics, where he was a partner and managing director in the investment banking unit. He was also previously a managing director at Fin Econ Partners and a principal at Value Incorporated.
Lynette Stolarzyk (specialty tax) oversees services in international tax, tax advocacy and controversy, M&A tax, R&D tax, cost segregation, and state and local tax. She has served as an international tax principal for the last six years at Baker Tilly, and was previously an international tax director at PwC. She has more than 20 years of consulting and internal company experience in international tax.
