Jeff Berardi joins legal industry specialist Baretz and Brunelle
Jeff Berardi, a leading marketing advisor to law and professional services firms, has joined Baretz and Brunelle, a New York-based public relations and consulting firm serving the legal industry.
Berardi, who has more than 20 years of marketing and business development experience, will join the firm’s NewLaw practice as a partner. NewLaw involves leveraging technology, including AI and machine learning, to create more efficient processes in legal work. It also encompasses alternative billing (such as value-based billing), outsourcing, and alternative organizational structures to incentivize reinvestment.
Berardi brings deep legal industry expertise in marketing strategy, organizational design, and client development, with a focus on building corporate brands and strengthening relationships with existing and potential clients.
He spent the last year-and-a-half running his independent advisory firm Berardi Consulting. Before that he spent a year at consulting firm Ankura, where he was chief marketing and communications officer.Prior to Ankura, Berardi spent 15 years at corporate law firm K&L Gates, where he served as chief marketing officer. He directed the brand’s launch in 2007 and oversaw a team of more than 100 professionals focusing on marketing, business development, and sales – helping K&L Gates grow into a Top 20 global law firm brand.
Earlier in his career, Berardi was a business development specialist at Nixon Peabody and an analyst at Thomson Financial.
He holds an MBA from the University of Rochester and a BA from Boston College.
