Ever.Ag hires Mike Sargent as president
Ever.Ag, a Frisco, TX-based provider of agriculture technology (AgTech) software and insurance services, has hired former Oliver Wyman partner Mike Sargent as president. He is based in New York.
In the newly created role, Sargent will be responsible for bringing strategic focus and operational excellence to the firm’s software division. Ever.Ag’s software business has solutions covering the entire procurement process for dairy and livestock. The firm also has agribusiness-focused solutions in field logistics and planning, ERP and risk management, and commodity procurement and management systems.
Sargent brings extensive experience driving large-scale transformation in the technology sector. He has spent the last 12 years creating strategy, orchestrating product and market fit, and aligning operations at software companies – working across public and PE-backed companies, acquisitions and carveouts, and assuming leadership from founders. He previously was CEO of Single Digits, interim CEO of Aternity, SVP and GM of the SteelCentral Division at Riverbed Technology, and SVP and GM of enterprise management at CA Technologies.
Earlier in his career, Sargent spent 18 years at management consultancy Oliver Wyman, where he was a senior partner and head of the TMT practice and New York office. He began his career as a consultant at Bain & Company.
Sargent has an MBA from Harvard University and a bachelor’s degree in physics from Haverford College.
"The addition of Mike to our senior leadership team reflects Ever.Ag's commitment to investing in high-impact talent and technology as we shape a bold, new future for Ever.Ag and our customers," said Scott Sexton, CEO of Ever.Ag. "Mike brings to Ever.Ag the senior-level experience we need as the Ag sector matures away from point solutions to solve end-to-end processes by leveraging technology, financial services, and operations support."
Aside from software, Ever.Ag also provides financial services for dairy, crops, and livestock – including solutions in brokerage and insurance. The firm also offers related risk management advisory services.
It has more than 600 clients, including large firms such as Nestle, Land O’Lakes, and Kroger.
Founded in 2002, Ever.Ag has more than 500 employees and seven offices across the US, Canada, Ireland, and India.
“I am very excited to join the Ever.Ag team at this pivotal point in the company's evolution," Sargent said. "The Ag sector faces a unique set of challenges, and Ever.Ag has led the industry in assembling a truly unparalleled set of technology and financial service capabilities. There's enormous opportunity in leveraging those capabilities to deliver innovative solutions that unlock huge value for our customers.”
