Province adds Brad Holly as principal

Province, a national restructuring and financial advisory firm, has hired Brad Holly as principal and co-leader of a newly launched Houston office.

Holly brings nearly three decades of consulting and industry experience in oil and gas. He specializes in in providing strategic, operational, and portfolio management services to large energy companies; improving performance and realizing cost efficiencies; and successfully navigating regulatory and government affairs negotiations.

Since 2020, Holly has served as managing partner of his boutique financial advisory firm Stein & Holly Partners. Before that, he spent three years as chairman, president and CEO of Whiting Petroleum Corporation – reducing operating costs by 40% and leading it through a successful restructuring.

Earlier in his career, Holly spent 20 years at Anadarko Petroleum Corporation, where he was latterly EVP overseeing US onshore assets – including a workforce of 2,200 people and daily production of 650,000 barrels of oil.

Holly has a bachelor’s degree in petroleum engineering from Texas Tech University.

“Brad joining our firm fortifies our oil and gas advisory quals and demonstrates our commitment to the segment and to the Texas market,” said David Dunn, who will co-lead the Houston office with Holly.

Founded in 2008 and headquartered in Las Vegas, Province has practices in corporate advisory, creditor and investor services, trust and liquidation, litigation services, and performance improvement. The firm works with clients in transportation, industrials, energy, financial services, health and life sciences, retail, leisure and gaming, and TMT.

Province has more than 50 employees across seven US offices.
