Paladin Management, a Los Angeles-headquartered management consulting firm, has hired Jeff Nerland as a partner based in Orange County, California.
Nerland brings more than 20 years of consulting and industry leadership experience in strategic growth, turnaround and restructuring, and M&A. He has extensive expertise as an interim CEO, CFO, CRO, and advisor for companies navigating crises, operational challenges, turnarounds, M&A situations, and debt restructuring.
Nerland has industry experience across retail, aerospace, distribution, consumer goods, construction, real estate, transportation, and manufacturing.
He joins Paladin from Armanino, a mid-market accounting and consulting firm, where he was a senior director in the corporate finance and restructuring practice. Before that, he was a managing director at B. Riley Advisory Services and a senior director at Sierra Constellation Partners.
Earlier in his career, Nerland was a partner at CRG Partners (now Deloitte), a turnaround consulting and interim management firm.
He has an MBA from the University of Southern California (Marshall) and a bachelor’s degree in business management from Indiana University.
"Jeff Nerland is recognized as an invaluable resource to the C-suite, Boards, investors, and key decision-makers for companies seeking growth, operational restructuring, and performance improvement,” said Scott Avila, founder of Paladin. “Whether the client is part of a private equity portfolio, a treasured family business or a public entity, his experience and skill set in driving mission success makes him a perfect fit for Paladin and I know he is going to be a valued asset for our increasing roster of clients."
Paladin provides consulting services in strategy, operations performance improvement, restructuring, transactions, and strategic communications. The firm has 35 employees listed on LinkedIn and six offices across the United States.
“It's an incredibly exciting time to be joining Paladin, whose exceptional work in preserving and growing value for middle-market businesses undergoing significant transition and transformation has been recognized again and again, and I know they will demand the best of me and allow me to work on some challenging client projects," Nerland said.
