ZCG Consulting hires Jon Davies as head of talent

ZCG Consulting (ZCGC), the management consulting arm of merchant bank Z Capital Group (ZCG), has hired Jon Davies as head of talent. He is based in the firm’s New York headquarters.

Davies brings nearly 20 years of talent management and recruiting experience to ZCGC, where he will oversee executive search execution, strategic talent planning, management team assessment, and human capital project management.

Davies joins from Lightyear Capital, where he spent the last three years as managing director and head of talent. Before that, he spent three years at Point72 as director of recruitment and four years as global head of recruitment at Blackstone. Davies also previously served as global head of markets recruitment at RBS.“We are pleased to welcome Jon to the team. ZCGC provides value creation consulting to private equity firms and their mid-market portfolio companies. The practice’s offerings include performance improvement, finance transformation, and transaction advisory, as well as technology, human capital, and real estate solutions.

Parent company ZCG has approximately 400 professionals globally and approximately $7 billion of assets under management.

ZCGC earlier this year welcomed three new US partners: Subrata Bhaumik, Dustin Goodwin, and Zachary Nippert.
