Joanna Tsai joins Cornerstone Research as vice president
Joanna Tsai, PhD, has joined Cornerstone Research, a San Francisco-headquartered economic and financial consulting firm, as a vice president.
Based in Washington, DC, Tsai will co-lead the firm’s merger investigations practice in that market.
Tsai is a merger economics expert with nearly 20 years of experience in consulting, government, and academia. She has advised on numerous merger reviews and joint venture transactions, and has presented economic analyses before US and international competition agencies.
Tsai works with merging parties on conducting pre-deal risk assessments, preparing for advocacy after merger filings, and handling second requests and merger litigation.
She joins Cornerstone from Charles River Associates, where she spent 10 years and was latterly a vice president. Tsai was also previously an economic advisor to the FTC commissioner and a vice president at Compass Lexecon, a subsidiary of FTI Consulting.
