Cornerstone Research promotes four to principal
Cornerstone Research, a San Francisco-headquartered economic and financial consulting firm, has promoted Phuong Dinh, Ildiko Magyari, Alan Potter, and Qiqi Zou to the role of principal.
Phuong Dinh (Boston) uses data science tools to support expert testimony in commercial litigation. She leads teams in building data analytics code libraries for matters relating to market manipulation and disruptive trading allegations, valuations, and digital assets.
Dinh joined Cornerstone in 2016 as an analyst. She has a bachelor’s degree in economics and computer science from Carleton College.
Ildiko Magyari, PhD (New York) applies industrial organization and econometric techniques to antirust and competition issues. She supports clients in M&A investigations across industries and assists experts in antitrust litigation in the technology sector.
Magyari joined Cornerstone in 2024 as a senior manager. Before that, she spent six years with NERA Economic Consulting, where she was a senior consultant.
Magyari has a PhD in economics from Columbia University.
Alan Potter, PhD (New York) advises on consumer fraud and product liability claims. He has expertise analyzing large datasets related to consumer behavior and decision-making.
Potter joined Cornerstone in 2019 as an associate. Before that, he spent two years as a researcher at the UN, where he advised on infrastructure and public-private partnerships in emerging economies.
Potter has a PhD in political economy from New York University.
Qiqi Zou, PhD (New York) specializes in securities class actions, financial institutions, and structured finance matters. In securities litigation, Zou addresses class certification, loss causation, and damages, including Rule 10b-5, Section 11, and Section 14 issues.
She joined Cornerstone in 2016 as an associate. Zou has a PhD in finance from the National University of Singapore.
Cornerstone also promoted five team members to vice president: Sara Champion, Avigail Kifer, Matteo Li Bergolis, Elisa Olivieri, and M. Scott Wilson.
