AArete buys technology consulting firm Legerity
AArete, a Chicago-headquartered management and technology consulting firm, has acquired Legerity, a Norfolk, VA-based technology consulting firm.
Founded in 2018, Legerity specializes in IT consulting and implementation for Pega, a popular software platform for customer relationship management (CRM) and business process management. The firm also works on engagements for QNXT and Facets software for healthcare payer claims administration.
Legerity has 16 employees, according to LinkedIn, and works primarily with clients in healthcare, financial services, and government.
“Welcoming Legerity to the AArete team aligns with our goal to be an end-to-end solution provider that delivers world-class business and technical solutions to clients,” said Loren Trimble, AArete CEO. “The acquisition not only grows AArete’s client base and capabilities; it also deepens relationships with clients that AArete and Legerity already share.”
The deal will bolster AArete’s core administration systems capabilities for healthcare payers and its wider digital transformation and automation services.
As part of the transaction, AArete will sunset the Legerity brand.
“I’m proud of the company we’ve built and the expertise that Legerity will bring to AArete and its clients,” said Jeff Schrecengost, Legerity co-founder. “This acquisition enables enhanced value delivery for both companies’ clients, who will now have easy, fully integrated access to the combined suite of service offerings from both AArete and Legerity.”
AArete was founded in 2008 and delivers strategy, profitability improvement, data and analytics, and technology services to healthcare, education, financial services, and public sector clients. The firm has more than 500 people across offices in the US, UK, and India.
AArete recently promoted SueEllen Carroll, Leslie Lotano-Saba, and Jeff Schacht to managing directors in its healthcare consulting practice.
