Jeffrey Kuehn joins HKA's forensic engineering practice as director

Jeffrey Kuehn has joined HKA’s forensic engineering practice as a St. Louis-based director.

Kuehn brings over 10 years of experience in forensic mechanical engineering investigations and over 20 years of experience as a mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) engineer. 

In his new role at HKA, Kuehn will work with the forensic engineering team to analyze and evaluate mechanical engineering issues, provide expert opinions on deficiency and failure, and develop forensic engineering reports summarizing facts, analyses, and tests.

Kuehn has extensive experience investigating building mechanical systems, industrial accidents, mechanical system and equipment failures, and fire incidents. His forensic engineering engagements include documentation of failure sites, research, development of written reports for courtroom use, and providing expert testimony.

“I am excited to join HKA and look forward to working with the team to provide excellence in forensic engineering for our clients,” Kuehn said.

Kuehn joins HKA from Rimkus Consulting Group, where he spent two years and was head of the MEP practice group. Before that, he was a senior consultant at Engineering Systems Inc. and VP and MEP manager at Kuhlmann Design Group.

Kuehn has a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Missouri-Saint Louis and is a certified professional engineer and certified fire and explosion expert.
