RSM US appoints Dean Sengstock as head of new Professional Services+ practice
RSM US has appointed Dean Sengstock as head of its new Professional Services+ (PS+) practice.
The PS+ practice is an evolution of the firm’s alliance network, which enabled member professional services firms to leverage RSM US’ infrastructure, expertise, and best practices to help build and enhance their practices.
The new PS+ practice will enable professional services firms – including accountancies, consultancies, and law firms – to access tools and services to drive growth. These include solutions across leadership and strategy, clients and growth, development and talent, business process and operations, and group purchasing.
The practice also offers PS+ Collaborative, an offering that facilitates peer-to-peer engagement via annual conferences, peer groups, workshops, and roundtables.
“RSM’s leadership in the middle market and in our own profession surfaced an opportunity for RSM to deepen our commitment to professional service firms with the launch of our new PS+ practice,” said Brian Becker, managing partner and CEO of RSM US. “As professional service providers and their clients are facing many new regulatory, business, geopolitical and economic challenges, they are seeking relevant insights and solutions to help them effectively grow and manage their own practices and provide additional resources for their clients.
“Dean’s deep professional services knowledge combined with many years of experience leading client engagement initiatives and driving client service excellence will help us bring the full power of RSM to the professional services space,” Becker added.
Sengstock transitions from his prior role as leader of the RSM Alliance. He has been at RSM since 1997, and previously specialized in tax engagements with professional services clients. Sengstock is based in the firm’s Minneapolis office.
He has a master’s degree in taxation from the University of Minnesota and a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.
“As the business environment becomes increasingly regulated, digital and global, our professional services clients are looking to RSM as a resource for expertise, insights and solutions to help them feel confident to take charge of the change around them and their clients,” Sengstock said. “We are very excited about this new opportunity to provide leadership and connection among the professional services community.”
