Capco hires Dan Martin and Sal Kutub as partners in its energy practice

Capco, a management consultancy focusing on financial services and energy clients, has hired Dan Martin and Sal Kutub as partners in its US energy practice.

Based in Houston, Martin brings more than 30 years of consulting experience focusing on digital transformation and enterprise systems integration for oil and gas and power and utilities clients.

He joins Capco after retiring from Deloitte, where he spent the last 11 years and was a partner and technology leader of the energy transacting and risk management practice. Before that, he was managing partner and GM of the consulting business of SunGard Availability Services and SunGard Global Services, focusing on software development and implementation, cybersecurity, and managed services for energy industry clients.

Martin began his consulting career at EY, where he was a senior manager focusing on IT consulting engagements.

He has a bachelor’s degree in management information systems from Texas A&M University.

Kutub has nearly 20 years of experience delivering business transformation and large-scale programs in the power and utilities industry.

He joins Capco from engineering consultancy Black & Veatch, where he was a managing director focusing on decarbonization and digitization projects. Before that, he was a senior manager at Accenture focusing on strategy and consulting engagements with electric and gas clients.

Earlier in his career, Kutub was a customer experience manager at utility firm National Grid.

He has a bachelor’s degree in engineering science from Stony Brook University.
