HKA, a global risk and disputes consulting firm, has appointed Paul Ficca as regional CEO for the Americas.

Ficca, a forensic accountant with 35+ years of experience, succeeds Frank Giunta, who led HKA’s Americas region for several decades. Giunta will remain at HKA as a senior advisor for the global construction practice.

Based in Seattle, Ficca will oversee the Americas region’s operations, client relationships, and growth.

He previously spent two decades with FTI Consulting, where he was global segment leader for forensic and litigation consulting. Earlier in his career, Ficca was a partner at KPMG and Arthur Andersen.

He has extensive experience leading large consulting practices and advising on fraud investigations and commercial contract disputes. Ficca has testified in trials in various jurisdictions as well as at arbitrations pertaining to disputes in a wide range of industry sectors.

“Paul's client-focused approach, extensive expertise, and proven ability to navigate complex challenges make him the ideal leader for our Americas region,” said Renny Borhan, CEO of HKA. “His track record of building high-performing teams and delivering strategic growth will be instrumental as we continue to expand our service offerings and strengthen our relationships with clients across the region.”

Ficca has bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Washington and is a certified public accountant (CPA), certified management accountant (CMA), certified fraud examiner (CFE), and certified in financial forensics (CFF). He is also recognized as a thought leader by Lexology Index.

“I am thrilled to join HKA and lead the Americas team to drive value for our clients. I look forward to working with the many leading experts, consultants, and advisors across the region at such an exciting time," Ficca said. "HKA's reputation for excellence, innovation, and delivering trusted solutions makes this an incredible opportunity to support our clients' needs."

HKA has over 1,000 employees across 45+ offices in 17 countries, including 500 expert witnesses. With a focus on the construction sector, the firm’s consultants provide expert, project advisory, and claims and dispute resolution services.
