Jarrard hires Jed Lam as head of market research and insights team

Jarrard, a Nashville-headquartered healthcare communications consultancy, has hired Jed Lam as SVP for market research and insights (MRI).
The MRI team helps clients understand stakeholder perceptions, motivations, and behaviors and create messaging that drives impact.
Based in Chicago, Lam has over 25 years of experience in research-driven brand strategy and marketing communications. He has worked with Fortune 100s and healthcare organizations on executing custom primary, secondary, media monitoring, and social listening research solutions for brand strategy and marketing communication needs.
Lam has worked with organizations such as Humana, the American Cancer Society, and Walgreens.
“Healthcare organizations are under immense pressure to make decisions with clarity and confidence, and Jed's deep expertise positions us to provide even more precise, data-driven guidance to our clients," said Anne Hancock Toomey, co-founder and president of Jarrard.
Lam joins Jarrard from Edelman Data & Intelligence, where he was EVP and head of the US Central region – leading a team of research managers, scientists, and analysts.
Before that, he spent nearly two decades with Aeffect, where he was latterly an SVP.
Lam has a master’s degree in integrated marketing communications from Northwestern University and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Chicago.
"I'm thrilled to join the powerhouse team at Jarrard as we aim to supercharge all the great work already happening with the latest advancements in utilizing research and data to make healthcare better," Lam said.
Jarrard is part of healthcare advisory firm Chartis, which acquired it in 2020. Chartis has over 1,000 employees across offices in Chicago, Boston, New York, Nashville, and San Francisco providing services in strategy and M&A, care delivery transformation, financing transformation, communications, and clinical quality solutions.
Jarrard also announced that it has recently welcomed nearly 100 professionals, including Corrie Fisher, senior managing advisor, health services & technology practice; and Gladis Valdivia-Hernandez, senior advisor, The Advisor Group.
