HKA promotes Tal Chelouche and Jon Scherr to partner

HKA, a risk and disputes consulting firm, has appointed Tal Chelouche and Jon Scherr as partners in its US forensic accounting and commercial damages (FACD) practice.

Based in Los Angeles, Chelouche is a certified public accountant with over a decade of experience advising on disputes in state and federal courts and arbitrations in the US and internationally. He has extensive experience in lost revenue, lost profits, increased costs, delay and disruption, and business valuation, and has conducted funds tracing and other forensic accounting analyses, including analysis of fraud allegations and the reconstruction of accounting records.

Chelouche joined HKA in 2022 as a director when it acquired his previous company TM Financial Forensics. He spent eight years at TM Financial Forensics, where he was latterly a director.

Chelouche has a bachelor’s degree in business economics from UCLA.

Based in New York, Scherr is a certified fraud examiner with over 18 years of investigations experience. He has conducted investigations in employee malfeasance, executive breach of fiduciary duties, money laundering, and anti-bribery, and has assisted clients with fraud risk mitigation, internal controls, and policies for anti-money laundering, anti-terrorist financing, and anti-bribery.

Scherr joined HKA’s FACD practice in 2021 as a director. Before that, he was a senior manager in the litigation support and forensic advisory services practice of CohnReznick and a manager in the GRC and forensic services consulting practice of Mazars USA.

Scherr has a master’s degree in economic crime forensics from La Salle University and a bachelor’s degree in administration of justice from the University of Pittsburgh.
