HKA adds four professionals across digital forensics and investigations teams

HKA, a risk and disputes consulting firm, has hired four US-based professionals across its digital forensics and investigations teams: Eric Mazur, David Griffith, Jared Lake, and Phu Nguyen.

Eric Mazur (partner, Miami) has over 34 years of experience in digital forensic investigations. He has investigated unauthorized data access, misappropriation of trade secrets, and data manipulation and destruction matters in the public and private sectors.
Mazur has also provided expert witness testimony on over 25 occasions in federal and state courts.
He was previously a senior managing director at B. Riley Financial and a managing director at Treliant, Alvarez & Marsal, and Huron.
David Griffith (principal, Houston) has over 25 years of experience advising on digital forensic investigations, bankruptcy proceedings, regulatory concerns, and litigation.
He has led e-discovery initiatives across areas including employment affairs, environmental incidents, shareholder actions, contractual disputes, white collar crime, and merger integrations.
Griffith previously spent 16 years with Alvarez & Marsal, where he was senior director of forensic technology services. Before that, he spent six years as a consultant to Enron, where he advised the corporate IT and legal departments during the company’s bankruptcy restructuring and liquidation trust activities.
Jared Lake (principal, San Francisco) is a business development leader with over 10 years of experience. He has domain expertise across e-discovery, data governance, cybersecurity, and cross-border investigations.
Lake was most recently a senior advisor of business development at BPM LLP. Before that, he was a director in the data protection and privacy practice of Protiviti and a senior director in the forensic technology and business transformation services practice of BDO USA.
Phu Nguyen (associate director, Washington, DC) has over 20 years of experience in digital forensics, e-discovery, and data analytics. He has managed forensic preservations of computers, mobile devices, cloud-based data sources, and network infrastructure for domestic and international corporate investigations.
Nguyen was previously a director at B. Riley Finacial, a senior manager at Treliant, and a manager at Alvarez & Marsal and Huron.
