BRG launches AI-focused practice group, adds four senior hires

BRG, a Washington, DC-headquartered management consulting firm, has launched its advanced AI and decision intelligence practice group and hired four AI professionals: managing directors Raghav Vadlamani, Nick Hahn, and Jennifer Langusch, as well as independent senior advisor Andy Hickl.

The advanced AI and decision intelligence practice group collects and expands BRG’s existing AI, advanced analytics, data privacy, compliance, and industry-focused capabilities into a unified, firm-wide offering.

The practice’s focus areas are AI strategy and operating model development, AI governance and risk advisory, AI-powered analysis and intelligence, and agentic AI design and deployment.

Managing director Peter Smith will lead the practice group, which will help clients design and deploy AI solutions, as well as enhance BRG’s internal capabilities.

Smith joined the firm last year from Accenture Song, where he was global head of AI.

“Our clients face increasingly complex data, regulatory and operational environments that require an ever-higher level of technical authority,” said Tri MacDonald, CEO and president at BRG. “The launch of this practice group ensures BRG is at the forefront of expert-led AI advisory, providing the clarity and strategic edge our clients require. I look forward to the impact this team will have in transforming client workflows and creating durable competitive advantage.”

Raghav Vadlamani (New York) brings nearly two decades of experience across AI, analytics, and enterprise data transformation. He joins from Accenture Song, where he spent 12 years and was global AI solutions and delivery lead. Vadlamani also previously worked at Cognizant and Huawei Technologies.

Nick Hahn (New York) brings 35+ years of experience in digital strategy and transformation, data and AI, operating model and workflow redesign, value management and economics, and change management. He was previously a senior partner at Randstad Digital, a partner at West Monroe, and a managing director at Publicis Sapient.

Jennifer Langusch (Sydney, Australia) has 20+ years of experience leading AI strategy, customer experience innovation, and scaled technology implementation for Fortune 500 companies. She also joins from Accenture Song, where she spent four years and was global managing director for AI solution strategy. Earlier in her career, Langusch was a VP at R/GA and Magic Leap.

Andy Hickl (Seattle) has 30 years of technology experience, with deep expertise in taking AI from research to production. He is currently the CTO of the Allen Institute, a non-profit bioresearch institute. Hickl was previously chief data scientist for North America at Accenture, principal group program manager for Azure AI at Microsoft, and chief product officer for Intel Saffron cognitive solutions group.

“By combining an expert senior advisory group with AI practitioners, we are bridging the gap between technical development and practical application,” said Smith. “This expansion allows us to move beyond the technology partnerships commonplace in the market, which prioritize software over strategy, to give our clients access to a broader suite of smarter solutions, tools and proven methodologies.”

BRG has 1,600+ employees across 40+ global offices providing expert and consulting services in disputes and investigations, corporate finance, and performance improvement.
