BRG appoints Michael Inserra as chair of the board

BRG, a Washington, DC-headquartered management consulting firm, has appointed Michael Inserra as chair of the board.

Based in New York, Inserra brings more than three decades of experience leading financial and professional services companies. As chair, he will work with BRG’s leadership team to guide the firm’s strategic direction and support growth objectives.

Inserra succeeds Jack Azagury, who was appointed as chair in 2025 following BRG’s acquisition by TowerBrook Capital Partners. Azagury was recently named CEO of Insight Enterprises, a Phoenix-based IT consulting firm, but will continue to serve on BRG’s board.

Inserra previously spent 35 years with EY, serving as Americas deputy managing partner and senior vice chair. As a senior leader at the Big Four firm, Inserra played a key role in shaping the firm’s growth strategy and transformation initiatives, including modernizing operations and strengthening collaboration.

Since retiring from EY in 2022, Inserra has held advisory roles at private equity firms and several board member positions. He currently serves on the boards of Baker Tilly and Brighthouse Financial and the advisory board of Fordham University’s Gabelli School of Business.

Inserra has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Fordham University.
