BRG hires Darin Cabral as chief financial officer
Berkeley Research Group (BRG), a Washington, DC-headquartered management consulting firm, has hired Darin Cabral as chief financial officer.
Based in the firm’s DC headquarters, Cabral succeeds David Johnson, who is leaving the consultancy after serving as CFO since 2017.
Cabral will oversee BRG’s financial strategy and operations as the PE-backed firm continues to expand its global capabilities and advisory services. BRG was acquired by Towerbrook Capital Partners in 2025.
Cabral brings more than 30 years of financial leadership experience across domestic and international operations. He has overseen financial operations, M&A integration, and international finance functions across the commercial and government contracting sectors.
Cabral joins BRG from Constellis, a global security and risk advisory firm, where he spent three years as chief financial and administrative officer. Before that, he held senior finance roles at Peraton, Perspecta, and DXC Technology. Earlier in his career, Cabral spent 22 years with Hewlett Packard Enterprise, latterly serving as VP of finance for enterprise services in the US public sector.
He holds a master’s degree in finance from Purdue University and a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Kentucky.
“Darin brings the operational discipline and financial expertise to support BRG’s continued growth as a multidisciplinary firm,” said Tri MacDonald, CEO and president of BRG. “His experience leading finance organizations will be invaluable as we continue expanding our capabilities and serving clients across complex global markets.”
BRG has 1,600+ employees across 40+ global offices providing expert and consulting services in disputes and investigations, corporate finance, and performance improvement.
The firm recently appointed Michael Inserra as board chair.
