Xiang Li rejoins BRG as director in energy and climate practice
Xiang (Jerry) Li has rejoined management consultancy BRG as a director in its energy and climate practice.
Based in the firm’s Washington, DC headquarters, Li has nearly two decades of experience in energy markets, energy economics, valuation, and quantum and damages.
He has supported numerous international arbitrations involving investor-state and commercial disputes as well as domestic litigation matters involving energy and financial issues. Li has advised global and national energy firms, utilities, project developers, investors, and banks on energy infrastructure, project financial, market analysis, and asset valuation.
He has expertise across pipelines, natural gas storage and LNG facilities, transmission lines, hydrogen production facilities, merchant thermal power plants, and renewable energy assets.
“As the industry’s demand for sophisticated economic expertise continues to build, Jerry will further strengthen our ability to help clients address business-critical challenges and disputes,” said Christopher Goncalves, chair of BRG’s energy and climate practice.
Li rejoins BRG from NERA Economic Consulting, where he spent nearly four years and was a director. He previously spent over seven years with BRG, latterly as an associate director.
Li also was a director at FTI Consulting and a senior consultant at Siemens.
He has an MBA from The George Washington University and a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Saint John’s University, and is a chartered financial analyst.

BRG recently welcomed Drake Hernandez as a director in its energy and climate practice.
