Slalom hires Dan Garrison as chief AI officer

Slalom, a Seattle-headquartered management and technology consulting firm, has hired Dan Garrison as chief AI officer.

Based in Detroit, Garrison will be responsible for accelerating the progress and value of Slalom’s AI capabilities, partnerships, and market expertise. In the new dedicated role, he will work with clients and partners on responsible deployment and scaling, as well as set Slalom’s overall AI strategy and vision.

Garrison joins from Accenture, where he spent the last 29 years. He most recently served as chief technology officer of Accenture Song, the firm’s digital marketing arm – overseeing tech strategy, innovation, acquisition integration, and transformation. Before that, he was global delivery lead at Accenture Song and office managing director for Detroit.

Garrison has a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Michigan State University.

His leadership will help our customers leverage Slalom’s capabilities and award-winning partnerships to secure better outcomes with greater confidence,” said Brian Turner, Slalom’s chief capability officer and executive president of partnerships.

Slalom has more than 10,000 employees across 54 offices in the Americas, Europe, and Asia. The consultancy has practices in strategy, operations, organization, experience and design, cloud, digital products, AI, data, and security.

BRG last year hired Peter Smith, formerly Accenture Song’s head of AI, to lead its AI initiatives.
