Slalom partners with OpenAI to provide ChatGPT to federal government
Slalom, a Seattle-based management and technology consultancy, has expanded its services partnership with OpenAI to support ChatGPT implementation in federal agencies.
OpenAI on Wednesday announced a partnership with the US General Services Administration (GSA), the procurement organization for the federal government, to provide ChatGPT Enterprise to the entire federal executive branch workforce for one year for the nominal cost of $1 per agency.
OpenAI will provide educational tools and training to help federal employees use the AI tools optimally, including tailored introductory training through the OpenAI Academy platform.
The AI firm also has partnered with Slalom as well as Boston Consulting Group to provide responsible deployment and training.
OpenAI says its tools can help make public services smarter and more efficient. In a recent pilot program in Pennsylvania, state employees who used ChatGPT saved an average of 95 minutes per day on routine tasks.
In collaboration with OpenAI, Slalom will guide agency leaders with AI coaching and workshops, train teams on how to best use ChatGPT, and support them with playbooks and hackathons. The firm will also track related progress and results.
