IBM has acquired the Adobe Workfront practice of Rego Consulting, a Centerville, UT-based firm specializing in work management software consulting.

Founded in 2007, Rego helps clients implement project and portfolio management (PPM), IT business management (ITBM), and work management IT systems.

The firm has deep expertise in Clarity, Rally, Workfront, and Microsoft Sharepoint systems, among others. Rego previously had a ServiceNow practice, which it sold to RSM US earlier this year.

Rego’s more than 150 employees have supported 60% of Fortune 100 companies and completed over 1,000 integrations.

Rego’s Adobe Workfront practice has Bronze Partner status and was named a Workfront Partner of the Year for the last two years. The practice has more than 25 Workfront core certified consultants.IBM buys Adobe Workfront practice of Rego ConsultingIBM will add Rego’s Workfront practice to its Adobe practice within IBM iX, the customer and experience transformation group of IBM Consulting (formerly Global Business Services).

The Armonk, NY-based technology firm has been aggressively investing in its hybrid cloud and AI strategy and capabilities – including cloud consultancies like Rego’s Workfront practice. The transaction is IBM’s ninth acquisition in cloud and AI services since Arvind Krishna became CEO in April 2020.

"Reinvention with cloud and AI is happening at an unprecedented scale and pace, and enterprise marketing is no exception," said Mark Foster, SVP of IBM Consulting. "The ongoing investments IBM is making in consulting services with acquisitions like this one cement IBM as the partner of choice that clients turn to for their digital business transformation."

The recently rebranded IBM Consulting has 140,000 global employees delivering services in strategy, experience, technology, and operations. The firm earlier this year bought Bluetab, a Spanish data and hybrid cloud consultancy with more than 700 employees.

"Work management is an important and often overlooked part of the vision to deliver impactful customer experiences," said Dan Greer, president of Rego Consulting. "Our Adobe Workfront management solutions will find a natural home within IBM iX as it enables the world's largest companies to navigate their digital work transformations."
