Rimkus buys Delta Engineering and Inspection Inc.

Rimkus, a Houston-based forensic engineering and technical consulting firm, has acquired Delta Engineering and Inspection Inc., a Lakewood Ranch, FL-based consulting engineering firm.

Founded in 1999, Delta specializes in providing inspection, engineering, project management, and expert witness services for existing buildings and structures. The firm has deep expertise in restoration and design, condition assessments, and construction defect consulting, and works with community associations, owners, developers, contractors, attorneys, architects, and lending institutions.

Delta has more than 20 employees, according to LinkedIn, and offices in Lakewood Ranch, Sarasota, and Clearwater, Florida. The firm serves clients along the Gulf Coast, in Florida, and into the Carolinas.

Rimkus’ acquisition of Delta will strengthen its presence in Florida, where it has seven locations. The deal is the latest in a series of acquisitions that aim to position Rimkus as a “one-stop solution for the built environment,” a press release said.

Rimkus has since 2020 completed 15 acquisitions globally, growing its footprint to 1,400 people and 110+ offices in the US, Canada, and the UK. The firm’s US acquisitions this year include Commercial Construction Consulting and Core Human Factors.

Founded in 1983, Rimkus delivers forensic engineering, technical consulting, and expert witness services to insurance companies, law firms, corporations, and government agencies. The company also provides architecture, engineering, and construction services for the built environment, including restoration design, facility risk assessment, and due diligence property assessment.
