Stax expands into Europe with acquisition of AMR International

Stax, a Boston-headquartered M&A strategy consulting firm, has acquired AMR International, a London-based boutique strategy consultancy.

Founded in 1991, AMR supports corporate and private equity clients in technology, events, media, B2B Information, business services, and industrials. The firm provides consulting services in strategy, transaction support, performance improvement, digital, and advanced analytics – with particular expertise delivering buy- and sell-side commercial due diligence.

AMR has more than 30 consultants and has completed over 2000 projects (including 500 private equity engagements) across 40+ countries.

Stax – which is backed by Blue Point Capital Partners – will expand its presence into London and Paris through the acquisition. The bolt-on is Stax’s first since it was acquired by Blue Point in 2021.

Stax provides corporate and private equity clients with consulting in commercial due diligence, value creation, and exit planning. The firm has more than 275 people across locations in Boston, Chicago, New York, and Sri Lanka.
