Cognizant buys digital transformation consultancy AustinCSI
Cognizant has acquired AustinCSI, a Dallas-based consulting firm specializing in enterprise cloud and data analytics advisory services.
Founded in 2007, AustinCSI has more than 175 consultants who design and deliver cloud and automation solutions, help clients leverage data to improve decision-making, and create better customer experiences. The firm works with clients across industries, including Fortune 500 companies.
Cognizant’s acquisition of AustinCSI will strengthen the Teaneck, NJ-headquartered firm’s consulting practice and its ability to deliver end-to-end digital transformation strategy. Financial terms of the transaction, which is expected to complete in Q4 2022, were not disclosed.
"AustinCSI has built a stellar reputation by improving business outcomes for some of the world's most recognizable brands, particularly in the telecommunications, media, technology and automotive sectors, markets where Cognizant is also strong. We look forward to welcoming AustinCSI's talented experts to our team and further enriching the value we're providing to our clients as they embrace cloud, AI, data analytics, and other advancing technologies," said Michael Valocchi, SVP and head of Cognizant’s consulting division.
Cognizant says it is continuing to invest in its capabilities across cloud, digital engineering, data and AI, and internet of things.
The 350,000-peson firm last month bought OneSource Virtual, a Dallas-headquartered Workday consulting firm. The deal added nearly 400 employees in the US, Canada, and the UK to Cognizant’s Workday practice.
"We're excited by the opportunity to become part of Cognizant and combine our strengths in delivering advanced and transformative technologies to clients," said Karen Moree, CEO and co-founder of AustinCSI. "Together, we can provide more impact for our current clients with broader capabilities in emerging digital technologies and reach a wider market leveraging Cognizant's global scale."
Cognizant is one of the world’s largest providers of technology consulting and outsourced services. The firm’s practices include digital strategy, experience, infrastructure, application services, cloud modernization and solutions, software engineering, and security.
