MorganFranklin promotes Matt DeFrain to CORe practice leader
MorganFranklin Consulting, a national management and technology consulting firm, has promoted Matt DeFrain to managing director and leader of the cyber & operational resilience (CORe) practice.
Based in Portland, OR, DeFrain will oversee a practice that builds customized cyber continuity and resilience programs to help clients quickly respond to attacks, minimize damage, and continue to operate under attack.
He has more than 20 years of consulting experience focusing on cybersecurity, operational resilience and continuity, crisis management, IT resilience and recovery, third-party risk, and enterprise risk management.
DeFrain joined MorganFranklin’s cyber practice in 2020, having previously spent 17 years at Deloitte US, where he was latterly a managing director in the resilience & crisis management practice. He also previously spent five years at KPMG US, where he was a director in the cybersecurity & resilience practice.DeFrain has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois and professional certifications from ISC(2), Disaster Recovery Institute (DRII), and the Business Continuity Institute (BCI).
