Federal consultancy PM Consulting rebrands to Vistant
PM Consulting, a consulting firm focusing on the federal market, has rebranded to Vistant.
The Washington, DC-based firm’s brand transformation includes a new website which reflects its new brand and vision.
Vistant says the name change “reinforces its focus on advancing U.S. missions both at home and abroad, with dynamic solutions and on-the-ground expertise.” The new name – which appears to be a blend of “vista” and “distant” – is supposed to also represent “the spirit of innovation, determination, and progress toward global prosperity.”
The firm’s new tagline is “Look Forward.”
“Our new name signals the next chapter in our company’s journey as we continue to expand,” said Walter Barnes III, founder and president of Vistant. “What remains the same is our commitment to excellence and the drive to create lasting solutions for the most complicated humanitarian, health, and security challenges.”
The consultancy was founded in 2008, with its first contract being a project planning and control support engagement with General Dynamics. Vistant today has teams in 35 countries providing consulting solutions in international development, healthcare, and mission support for federal government clients. The firm, which has 75 employees on LinkedIn, works with clients including USAID, the DoD, and DHHS.
Vistant last year received financial backing from Enlightenment Capital, a private investment firm focusing on the government market.
The consultancy says it is entering a new phase of operations, which includes an expansion of services, staff, and leadership. Vistant in the last several months hired a new chief financial officer and an SVP for international development.
