Siemens Healthineers picks GEP supply chain software
Siemens Healthineers, the medical devices division of manufacturing giant Siemens, has selected GEP procurement and supply chain software after a competitive review.
Siemens Healthineers has 69,500 employees globally and annual revenue of $22.84 billion. Aside from manufacturing an array of medical devices, the firm also has a healthcare consulting practice (Value Partners) which provides services in clinical operations, strategy and finance, and digital and transformation.
Healthineers’ ultrasound division, headquartered in Issaquah, WA, will use GEP software to transform its indirect procurement in the US – including sourcing, spend analytics, supplier and inventory and management, and accounts payable.
GEP’s main products are GEP Smart, an AI-powered source-to-pay platform that helps large organizations improve efficiency, visibility, and agility in procurement and purchasing, and GEP Nexxe, an end-to-end supply chain management platform.
The Clark, NJ-headquartered company’s more than 5,500 professionals also provide consulting and managed services in procurement and supply chain, working with Fortune 500 and Global 2000 businesses.
GEP’s other recent contract wins include projects with the Mormon Church, Macy’s, and Synopsys.
