Charles Parekh joins HKA’s economic damages team as partner
Charles Parekh, PhD, has joined the economic damages team of HKA, a risk and disputes consulting firm, as a partner.
Based in Chicago, Parekh is an expert witness with over 20 years of experience in economic and statistical analysis for finance, healthcare, and public policy issues.
He specializes in using financial, statistical, and economic modeling to calculate damages and losses for litigation related to financial markets, mortgage transactions, and healthcare billing and coding.
Parekh also has experience in sampling transactions to detect price fixing, conducting event studies to assess investor damages, and valuation of intellectual property.
He joins HKA from NERA Economic Consulting, where he was a managing director. Before that, he was a managing director at Kroll (previously Duff & Phelps) and an associate director at Navigant Economics.
Parekh has a PhD in public finance and research methods from New York University, a master of public policy degree from the University of Chicago, and a bachelor’s degree in economics from Colgate University.
