Andres Saavedra joins BRG’s global construction practice as associate director
Andres Saavedra has joined the global construction practice of Berkeley Research Group, an Emeryville, CA-headquartered management consultancy, as an associate director.
Based in Atlanta, Saavedra brings over 15 years of experience as a consultant, owner representative, and contractor in the construction and infrastructure industry. In his new role at BRG, he will support clients with expert risk-modeling advisory services for projects in nuclear, oil and gas, and transportation.
Saavedra specializes in optimizing project management processes, designing performance measurement methodologies, and implementing digital technology in construction management.
“BRG is thrilled to welcome Andres to our team as we continue to strengthen our dynamic group of construction experts," said Richard Fultineer, a BRG managing director and head of the Global Construction practice. "His record supporting large-scale, high-stakes projects across industries will greatly enhance our capabilities."
Saavedra previously was a principal project manager in the engineering and construction unit of Oracle Corporation, a manager in the capital projects practice of PwC, and a senior civil engineer at PMA Consultants.
He has a master’s degree in construction management from Florida International University, an MBA from Boston University, and a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Universidad de la Costa in Colombia.
“I am honored to join this growing team of seasoned experts," said Saavedra. "The wealth of knowledge and expertise at BRG presents tremendous value for my practice and clients."
BRG last week announced the addition of John Boyer as a director in its global construction practice.
BRG advises on disputes and investigations, corporate finance, and performance improvement. The firm has more than 1,300 professionals across offices in the Americas, EMEA, and APAC regions.
