MorganFranklin Consulting, a national management and technology consulting firm, has hired Amir Shah as a partner in its strategy and transformation practice and Clint Bodungen as director of cybersecurity innovation.

Based in Dallas, Shah will lead engagements in operating model design, technology implementation, and transformation programs.

He has more than 30 years of experience as a business transformation leader, working with large and mid-size firms across the US, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.

Shah joins MorganFranklin from KPMG, where he spent the last eight years as a managing director in the advisory services business, focusing on managing client accounts, business development, new offering development, and senior-level guidance on complex projects.

Before that, he was a senior director in the professional services division of Fujitsu and a transition director in the IT outsourcing consulting division of DXC Technology. Earlier in his career, Shah was a VP and applications development director at JPMorgan and principal software engineer at Emerson Electric.

He has a master’s degree in control engineering and IT from the University of Manchester and a bachelor’s degree in computing and chemistry from Staffordshire University.

“A catalyst for innovation, Amir brings a dynamic and charismatic client-centric approach that is complementary to our core values and objectives,” said Tom Roland, leader of strategy and transformation at MorganFranklin Consulting. “His deep experience cultivating enduring client relationships and delivering impactful results will fuel the acceleration of our firm’s continued growth and success.”

Based in Houston, Bodungen joins MorganFranklin as part of its new strategic partnership with ThreatGEN, a cybersecurity training firm founded by Bodungen. In his new dual role, Bodungen will maintain his role as head of product innovation at ThreatGEN.

ThreatGEN’s platforms include Red vs. Blue, a gamified experience that helps companies explore defensive and offensive cybersecurity strategies, and AutoTableTop, which provides automated incident response tabletop exercises.

As a director at MorganFranklin, Bodungen will work across the cybersecurity practice to develop tools and products, strengthen service offerings, and bolster market differentiation.

As part of the ThreatGEN partnership, MorganFranklin will integrate the firm’s solutions to provide new cybersecurity training solutions to clients.

“With Clint joining our leadership team as Director of Cybersecurity Innovation, we are taking our technology-enabled services to the next level,” added Jonah Dimeo, partner, managing director of the global cybersecurity services practice at MorganFranklin Consulting. “His deep industry knowledge and visionary approach to building security solutions will allow us to continue enhancing the ways we serve clients and differentiate us in the market.”

Founded in 1998, MorganFranklin provides consulting in technical accounting, financial transformation and reporting, M&A preparedness and integration, risk advisory, supply chain, and implementation of enterprise and cloud applications. The firm has more than 650 employees across eight US offices and is a part of Vaco, a recruitment and HR consulting firm.

MorganFranklin earlier this summer promoted Tamara Nolan to leader of its cyber and operational resilience (CORe) practice.
