Baringa, a London-headquartered management consulting firm, has hired Alex Kushnir as a partner in its consumer products and retail (CP&R) industry practice.

Based in Atlanta, Kushnir brings more than 25 years of consulting experience in CP&R, including food, beverage, and household products. He specializes in transforming commercial operating models and improving manufacturer-retailer collaboration.

In his new role at Baringa, Kushnir will advise clients on developing and implementing strategies that optimize digital commerce and customer engagement models, as well as leverage AI to drive growth. He will also advise on closed source manufacturing, holistic supply chain management, and inflation mitigation.

"We are pleased to welcome Alex Kushnir to our team. He has a keen ability to align business goals with data-driven strategies, and his deep industry knowledge and innovative approach will be invaluable as Baringa continues to grow our consumer and retail customer base,” said Jeff Hartigan, Baringa partner and global lead for CP&R.

Kushnir was previously a managing director in the strategy practice of Accenture and a partner at Strategy&. Earlier in his career, he was principal at Capgemini and a senior manager at Deloitte Consulting.

He has an MBA from Emory University and a bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering from Boston University.

“I am thrilled to have the opportunity to assist CPG manufacturers and retailers in advancing their consumer and customer engagement strategies at the intersection of business and IT,” Kushnir said. “This ever-evolving sector offers a unique chance for Baringa to expand our capabilities, forge new relationships, and provide exceptional value to our clients.”

Baringa says the addition of Kushnir is part of a wider strengthening of its US South presence, having recently appointed professionals in its financial services practice in Charlotte and Dallas.

Baringa was founded in 2000 and has more than 2,000 employees, according to LinkedIn. The firm has offices in Europe, APAC, and North America, with US offices in New York, Chicago, Houston, and Charlotte.

Baringa has practices in strategy, finance, operations, supply chain, technology, and cybersecurity, among other areas, and works with clients in CP&R, energy and resources, financial services, life sciences, public sector, and technology, media, and telecom.
