Baringa, a London-headquartered management consulting firm, has hired Greg Gambal as a partner in its financial services industry practice.

Based in Dallas, Gambal will focus on expanding the practice in the Southern US – including growing a diverse client base and developing relationships with marquee clients.

He brings 30+ years of experience in consulting, financial services and technology. Gambal has extensive business and digital transformation expertise across consumer and corporate banking, lending, and operations.

He previously spent 15 years with EY, where he was a managing director and head of the banking advisory practice. Before that, Gambal was an SVP at Countrywide Financial, a program manager at Hoovers (now Dun & Bradstreet), and a program director at software development firm Trilogy.

Gambal began his career at Andersen Consulting (now Accenture), where he spent nine years and was latterly a senior manager.

He has an MBA from Baylor University and a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of South Carolina.

“We are thrilled to welcome Greg to the Baringa team," said Brad O'Brien, partner, US financial services, Baringa. "His extensive experience and strategic vision will be invaluable as we continue to expand our presence in the Southern US and nationwide.”

Baringa was founded in 2000 and has more than 2,000 employees, according to LinkedIn. The firm has offices in Europe, APAC, and North America, with US offices in New York, Chicago, Houston, and Charlotte.

Baringa has practices in strategy, finance, operations, supply chain, technology, and cybersecurity, among other areas, and works with clients retail and consumer, energy and resources, financial services, life sciences, public sector, and technology, media, and telecom.

“Baringa's people-first approach and commitment to building a growing consultancy align perfectly with my values. I look forward to working with the team to nurture a culture that supports our clients and drives innovation in the financial services industry," Gambal said.

Baringa recently welcomed Alex Kushnir as a partner in its consumer and retail practice.
