HKA welcomes Gangjin Li as director in Dallas forensic practice

HKA, a risk and disputes consulting firm, has hired Gangjin Li, PhD, as a director in its forensic technical services practice in Dallas.
Li is a geotechnical engineer with 15 years of consulting and academic research experience in civil infrastructure. He has worked on over 60 large-scale transportation projects, providing services in geotechnical analysis and design, forensic investigation, opportunity and risk assessments, peer review, and technical report preparation.
Li has expertise in the design of spread footings, driven piles, and drilled shafts for bridge and retaining wall foundations, as well as the geotechnical design of earth-retaining structures.

Li was previously assistant chief geotechnical engineer at Flatiron Construction and a senior staff engineer at Earth Mechanics Inc.
He has a PhD in civil engineering from the University of Nevada, Reno and a master’s degree in bridge and tunnel engineering and bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Tongji University in China. Li is a professional engineer in several states.
