Sustainserv, a Zurich-headquartered ESG (environmental, social, and governance) consulting firm, has hired three early-career professionals in its Boston office: Allison McArdle, Nate Newman, and Caroline Sloan.

“We are thrilled to continue to expand our Boston office with the addition of new talent,” said Matthew Gardner, managing partner for Sustainserv. “We are a global team with global perspectives and attribute our firm’s success to our passionate sustainability experts, each with unique and valuable backgrounds. Adding to our team of consultants helps us to continue our mission of working towards a more sustainable future.”

Allison McArdle (consultant) joins from Ceres, a non-profit focusing on sustainability, where she worked with financial services companies on developing climate strategies, supply chain sustainability programs, and disclosures. McArdle has a master’s degree in sustainability from Harvard Extension School and a bachelor’s degree in biology and environmental studies from the College of the Holy Cross.

Nate Newman (associate consultant) was previously an intern in the transportation decarbonization practice of 3Degrees Group, a climate strategy consulting firm. He has a master’s degree in environmental policy and planning from Tufts University and a bachelor’s degree in biology and Spanish from the College of Wooster.

Caroline Sloan (associate consultant) was previously a consulting intern at V&A Waterfront and a legislation and advocacy intern at Seaside Sustainability. She has a bachelor’s degree in environmental studies from Boston College.

Sustainserv was founded in 2001 by scientists and academics Bernd Kasemir, Matthew Gardner, and Stephan Lienin. The firm has grown to 40+ consultants across offices in Zurich, Frankfurt, and Boston.

Sustainserv provides services in ESG strategy, implementation and monitoring, and reporting and communication.

The Boston office earlier this year added Fernando Villasana and in 2023 welcomed Amanda Elkin and Brooke McDonald.
