HKA adds Leo Kalikstein as director in forensic engineering practice

HKA, a risk and disputes consulting firm, has hired Leo Kalikstein as a director in its forensic engineering practice in Denver.

Kalikstein is a professional engineer with over 30 years of experience in electrical, automation, and instrumentation and control (I&C) systems. He has expertise across the full project lifecycle, from initial piping and instrumentation diagram drafting, design, and specification to programming, construction, commissioning, and start-up.

Kalikstein also provides technical expert analysis and testimony, addressing forensic engineering issues in I&C and related equipment.

He has industry experience designing and managing projects in water treatment, chemical processing, manufacturing, energy, and power.

Kalikstein was most recently the senior manager of I&C systems and lead I&C engineer at engineering consultancy Worley. Before that, he was lead I&C engineer at Jacobs and project engineering manager at Newmont Mining Corporation.

Kalikstein has a bachelor’s degree in engineering physics from the Colorado School of Mines
