Baringa adds Ron Otocki as partner in TMT practice

Baringa, a London-headquartered management consulting firm, has hired Ron Otocki as a partner in its US technology, media, and telecom (TMT) practice.

Based in Chicago, Otocki will play a key role in broadening Baringa’s TMT client base beyond its East Coast stronghold, the firm said. He will particularly focus on expanding the firm’s clientele in telecom, IT services, and software.

Otocki brings more than two decades of consulting experience, with deep expertise supporting technology-driven firms on front-office operational transformation. He specializes in operating model transformation, data and metrics alignment, and the intersection of strategy and technology execution.

Otocki previously spent 19 years with PwC, where he was a principal in the customer transformation practice. Earlier in his career, he spent eight years with Motorola, where he was a senior staff engineer.

Otocki has an MBA from the University of Chicago and a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.

“Ron brings exceptional experience and insight in helping clients navigate the rapidly evolving technology landscape,” said Eddie Monteiro, partner and US strategy and growth lead for Baringa. “His collaborative leadership style, ability to connect strategy with practical execution, and deep industry expertise make him an outstanding addition to our growing TMT practice in the US.”

Baringa was founded in 2000 and has more than 2,000 employees, according to LinkedIn. The firm has offices in Europe, APAC, and North America, with US offices in New York, Charlotte, Chicago, and Houston.

Baringa has practices in strategy, finance, operations, supply chain, technology, and cybersecurity, among other areas, and works with clients in retail and consumer, energy and resources, financial services, life sciences, public sector, and TMT.

“The opportunity to build on Baringa’s success and help our clients adapt to today’s technology shifts is incredibly energizing,” Otocki said. “I look forward to working alongside my colleagues to help clients not only transform, but to thrive.”

Baringa earlier this summer acquired all staff of Altruas, a Dallas-based technology consulting firm.
