Alvarez & Marsal hires Htike Htike Kyaw Soe as managing director in transactions practice
Alvarez & Marsal (A&M), a New York-headquartered management consulting firm, has hired Htike Htike Kyaw Soe as a managing director in its global transaction advisory group (TAG).
Based in New York, Kyaw Soe joins TAG’s global transaction analytics (GTA) unit, which provides data analytics services and insights for private equity and corporate clients’ M&A, divestment, and investment strategies.
Kyaw Soe brings nearly 20 years of experience in AI and analytics leadership. She specializes in pre- and post-acquisition analytics, early-stage assessments, and embedding next-generation technologies into M&A and divestiture strategies.
“The dealmaking environment commands enhanced diligence rigor coupled with creative problem-solving and value creation – analytics and AI are key differentiators in that feat, and it’s why we continue to invest in our GTA unit to empower clients with accelerated insights that drive smart decisions,” said Paul Aversano, managing director and global practice leader of TAG.
Kyaw Soe joins A&M from KPMG, where she spent nine years and was manager of data analytics. During her tenure at KPMG, she built and led a deal analytics team that supported hundreds of projects for private equity and corporate clients.
Kyaw Soe also spent two years at Facebook, where she was a partner in the marketing science practice.
Earlier in her career, she spent six years at the UN’s department of economic and social affairs, where she was a statistician.
Kyaw Soe has an MBA from Columbia University and a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry and sociology from Grinnell College.
“A&M’s integrated platform and flexibility allow us to deliver analytics solutions that grow with clients and the market,” Kyaw Soe said. “Clients don’t just need more data; they need early, actionable insights that drive transformation and lasting value.”
TAG is the largest transaction advisory practice outside of the Big Four, with 1,000+ professionals in 40 offices globally.
The practice earlier this year added Mark Copeland as a managing director and Marc Siegel as a senior advisor.
