David Paris joins HKA as principal in IP practice
David Paris has joined risk and disputes consultancy HKA as a principal in the intellectual property (IP) practice in Washington, DC.
Paris is an economist and business consultant with more than 35 years of experience, and has advised clients across industries on IP strategy, licensing negotiation, royalty audits, and compliance reviews.
Paris has testified on damages, valuation, and competition issues before various courts, arbitrations, and administrative proceedings. He has expertise in patent, trademark, and copyright infringement matters, trade secret misappropriation, licensing disputes, fraud, breach of contract, and antitrust violations.
Paris was previously a managing director at FTI Consulting and Stout, a senior director at Alvarez & Marsal, and a director at Huron.
He holds a master’s degree in applied economics from the University of Michigan and a bachelor’s degree in economics from The George Washington University.
