HKA adds team of IP and financial forensics experts from Echelon Analytics
HKA, a risk and disputes consulting firm, has added a team of eight professionals from Echelon Analytics, a boutique, Texas-based litigation consulting firm.
Founded in 2010, Echelon has practices in banking and financial institute litigation, commercial damages, financial forensics and investigations, and intellectual property services.
The eight-person team joining HKA includes partner and founder Barry Bell and partner Lance Gunderson.
Bell is based in Dallas and brings more than 30 years of experience as a damages expert, with a focus on intellectual property. Prior to founding Echelon, Bell was a managing director at FTI Consulting and a principal at Navigant Consulting.
“We’re thrilled to join HKA and contribute our expertise in intellectual property and financial forensics to a firm with global reach,” Bell said.
Gunderson is based in Houston and has 30+ years of experience focusing on consulting and expert services in intellectual property damages. Before joining Echelon in 2012, he was a senior managing director at FTI Consulting and a director at Technology & Financial Consulting.
“We’re looking forward to collaborating with our new colleagues to deliver high-value solutions and expert insight across intellectual property disputes and complex investigations,” Gunderson said.
Headquartered in London, HKA has more than 1,000 professionals globally delivering services in risk mitigation, dispute resolution, expert witness, and litigation support. The firm focuses on the construction and energy industries.
“We’re delighted to welcome eight experienced and talented experts to HKA. They bring exceptional technical acumen and deep industry insight – expanding our capabilities and reinforcing our commitment to delivering added value and exceptional services to our clients,” said Paul Ficca, partner, regional CEO, Americas.
HKA earlier this month welcomed Vanessa Varona as a partner and Thomas Moreno and Deviprasad Pentapati as directors in its US offices.
