Telus Digital acquires Salesforce consultancy Gerent

Telus Digital, the business process outsourcing and technology consulting arm of Canadian telecom firm Telus, has acquired Gerent, a Washington, DC-area Salesforce consulting firm.

Founded in 2008, Gerent is a Salesforce summit partner with 1,800 certifications across the CRM software company’s entire product suite. Gerent has more than 250 employees across the US, Canada, India, and Australia and has delivered 1,000+ Salesforce implementation and integration projects.

Telus Digital traces its origins to 2005 when Telus invested in Ambergris Solutions, a BPO company in the Phillipines. The company would subsequently bolt on various offshore CX and IT services firms to create what is now an 80,000-person firm.

Telus Digital went public in 2021 and has approximately $2.65 billion in annual revenue. Although the firm focuses on CX management solutions, it also has offerings across enterprise data, IT modernization, digital marketing, and financial crime and compliance.

Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
