SolomonEdwards hires Bryan Stelly as partner of tax services

SolomonEdwards, a Philadelphia-headquartered business consulting firm, has hired Bryan Stelly as partner of its tax services group.

Based in Houston, Stelly will focus on refining the group’s operating model, driving growth through measurable initiatives, aligning tax services with firmwide objectives, and integrating the group with the broader office of the CFO (OCFO) and banking and financial services (BFS) capabilities.

He has more than 20 years of tax services experience, with expertise spanning global and domestic tax consulting, tax compliance, M&A tax considerations, tax controversy, accounting methods, ASC 740, interim tax reporting, legal entity structuring and rationalization, and Sarbanes-Oxley 404 design and documentation.

Stelly joins SolomonEdwards from Kroll, where he spent a year as a director in the consultancy’s federal tax advisory practice. Before that, he spent seven years at oil and gas firm Patterson-UTI, where he was vice president of tax, and four years at Direct Energy, where he was a tax senior manager.

Stelly began his career at Deloitte, where he spent six years and was a tax manager.

He has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Baylor University and is a certified public accountant.
